Canopy Tour CRTSTRRV-401

We will come to your hotel to pick up you and take you to our office in Puerto Viejo to put on the equipment and from there we will take the car which is going to take us up to the mountains of Carbón where the Canopy tour is located, 30 minutes away from Puerto Viejo.

 When we get there we will start a hike into the jungle where our naturist guide is going to explain us about the animals we are going to see as well as about how Indians use some of the plants we can find in the jungle. At the end of the walk we will be at the first platform where we will start our adventure.

Our Canopy is done by 8 aerial platforms and 1200 meters of cable. During the tour on the top of the trees our naturist guide will keep on explaining about the vegetation of the surround. At the end of the aerial tour we have the possibility of getting to the ground by rappel or by the last cable that takes us directly to the trail to go back to the transport.

The guide will pick you up in front of your hotel to depart by car towards the Bri Bri reservation. We will leave the car there and we will start a hike that will take you to a still virgin jungle thanks to the integration of the Bri Bri people with the nature. We will get then to a waterfall where you can swim and enjoy of a natural Jacuzzi.  

After lunch, we will continue going to visit the town of Uatsi where you will visit a rancho Bri Bri and will have the possibility to know more about the way of living and the handcrafts of this tribe.

Quad Tour Pto Viejo (ATV Tour) CRTSTRRV-403

On this tour we travel on Quadra cycles over the forested mountains of Talamanca, crossing rivers and observing the plants and the animals unique for their diversity.

 


We go upstream to the foot at the Carbón river(400 mts.) and arrive at the first waterfall, of unique beauty, where we have refreshments (tropical fruits of the area ; watermelon, cantaloupe, papaya...)

Next we continue our tour along the Carbón river ad enjoy the natural pools in the river.

Upon returning we pass through the indigenous communities where you can appreciate and purchase the native crafts.

We depart from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. and leave toward Siquirres by land transfer. There we will meet the rafting company bus which will take you down to the Pacuare river where the rafts & guides will be waiting to enjoy this fantastic adventure. We offer you class III-IV going down 28 kms of rapids where the fun is definitely our first goal. After the rafting tour we will enjoy lunch in Siquirres and from there we will return to Puerto Viejo.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The coral reef of Cahuita National Park includes more or less 240 habitats. There are 123 different species of fishes, 44 species of crustaceans, 140 different shellfish and 128 various algae identified. There can also be observed 35 different coral species such as the fire coral & the red and black coral which is unique in this area. And while the park, we will have the opportunity to see the vegetation coast and to observe animals such as sloths, monkeys, snakes, etc…

TOUR DESCRIPTION
We will go to Cahuita by land transfer and from there we will take a boat. We will go snorkeling for two hours in two different points of the National Park. Afterwards we will go back to the beach to rest for a while and we will start a walk into the national park for 1 ½ hours with a guide who is going to explain us about the vegetation and the history of Cahuita and who is going to help us observe-locate the different animals within the park.

Recommendations what to bring: Bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, comfortable shoes or tie-down sandals.

Dolphin Watch Tour CRTSTRRV-406

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7.00 a.m. to depart by car towards Manzanillo. We leave the car and will go by boat to the area of water encompassing south of Punta Mona to the border of Panama, which is the best area for seeing bottle-nose, Atlantic spotted and tuxuci dolphins.

Upon the request of the clients the captain will take you to various snorkeling location: Punta Mona, Sunny Boy, Manzanillo or Punta Uva (depending on sea conditions).

You will have at your disposal fruits and beverage during all the tour.

Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge CRTSTRRV-407

The beauty of this refuge is incredible because of its forests, lagoons, coral reefs and white sand beaches and is the most isolated and most exotic place of all the South Caribbean coast.. This refuge protects 4.500 ha. of sea, 15 km of coast and 5.000 ha. of plans and hills which maximum height is 115 mt. Apart of the vegetation we will also observe animals like monkeys, toucans, sloths, snakes and caimans.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR

We will pick you up at 7.00 a.m. at your hotel to go by car to Manzanillo where our guide is waiting for you to start the adventure through the jungle of the Refuge. Monkeys, toucans, sloths and lot of different birds will accompanied us for the 4 hours hike through the jungle.

The lunch will be served in the most famous restaurant of Manzanillo, Maxi, where the car will be waiting for us to take us back to Puerto Viejo

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR:

After picking you up at your hotel we will leave towards the Kekoldi Indian Reserve where we will start a walk into the jungle. During the hike, our experienced guide is going to show you the curiosities and the natural products to survive in the jungle. As soon as we meet a safe place to stay we will settle down and make a camp fire. We will prepare you a tea using different medical plants found in the jungle and a dinner done with organic products of the area. After that, at about 6.30 p.m., we will begin a night walk and the guide will show you the animals in their natural environment. We will go back to camp at about 8.30 p.m. and after a snack we will enjoy a talk around the camp fire where the guide is going to give you some suggestions on how to spend an interesting night.

We will get up at 6.00 a.m. and after breakfast we will start the walk back to the vehicle which is going to bring you back to your hotel
