Comfort, Nature
and Adventure. The very best of Costa Rica!
Set on the banks of the Barú
river, surrounded by impressive tropical forests the
jungle resort Villa Rio Mar awaits you with
traditional hospitality. Kick back and relax amidst
luxuriant gardens in one of our 40 large thatched
roof bungalows with open terrace like living rooms,
king-size beds, bathrooms with hot water and hair
dryer, safety box, fans, a mini bar and of course...
a hammock.
Restaurant & Bar
Our unique and beautiful "palenque"
restaurant serves international and local
specialties that will surprise even the most
discriminating gourmets. At our cozy bar, you will
find a variety of delicious tropical cocktails.
Activities
Villas Rio Mar is the perfect spot
for an active vacation. We have horses,
mountain bikes, kayaks, river tubes and snorkel and
fishing equipment. From behind the resort hiking
trails lead into the jungle up the mountains,
offering you spectacular views of the rugged
coastline.

Recreation
The extensive grounds of the
resort are a paradise for birdwatchers and nature
lovers alike. Don't be surprised to find a toucan
perched on your private terrace early in the
morning.
Especially for those working on
their suntan we have a large swimming pool with a
Jacuzzi and swim-up bar to cool them down.
The resort itself has tennis,
basketball and volleyball courts.
If you are into sports, Villa Rio
Mar is the place to be! Though still a friendly
small village, Dominical is a world famous hotspot
for surfing.
We have also thought about your
children! The playground and games room with table
tennis, pool, table football and darts will keep
them busy and gives you a break.
Last, there is the open air
Conference Center hidden in the jungle, fitting up
to eighty and ideal for nature and health oriented
meetings and seminars.

A jungle
& beach resort that combines comfort with a great
nature and adventure experience!
