The Hotel Balcon del Mar is a beautiful beach hotel with an excellent restaurant, located in front of the sea with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.

Jacó is located about 90 minutes from San José, making it one of the closest and most convenient beach towns to the international airport of Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) outside San José. Jacó is a lively, local village with casinos, retail shopping outlets, discos and many restaurants offering a variety of international cuisine.

While staying at the Hotel Balcon del Mar, we can make tour arrangements for all the activities and day trips which Costa Rica has to offer. Then after a day in the rainforest, come back to your private room or relax at our pool with a cool drink.

The number one attraction is the surf and surfers love the consistent beach break here and in neighboring Playa Hermosa . The active village is full of life at all hours of the day and night. There are souvenir shops, local clothing and artisan shops, ice-cream stands, close to 100 restaurants and bars, four casinos and several discotheques where you can dance until the wee hours of the night. For families, there is even a miniature-golf course, petting zoo and newly developed playground.

Types of rooms and their equipment

	Standard : 20 rooms located on the first three floors have air conditioning, cable TV, hot water, refrigerator and a private balcony, with one, two or three beds of the following type: Matrimonial with one queen bed, Matrimonial with one matrimonial bed and one individual bed. Family with one matrimonial bed and two individuals Double with two semi-matrimonial beds.
	Standard Major : 6 rooms located onthe 4th floor, spacious with two panoramic windows infront of the Pacific Ocean and equipt with standard microwave and coffee maker Doubles with 2 matrimonial beds.
	Two Apartments : One located on the 3rd floor equipt with air conditioning, cable tv, living room, kitchen, spacious balcony and bathroom with jacuzzi; the 2nd Apartment is on the 5th floor, with air conditioning, private bathroom, cable tv, with a huge window with a spectacular 180 degree panoramic view of both sides of the beach. Apartment with 2 rooms with a semi-matrimonial bed in each room. Apartment with only one bedroom with a queen bed.
